JOB SUMMARY

This is a full-time staff member. This person works closely with RetubeCo engineering, operations, and sales personnel in developing and estimating proposals.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Understanding retubing and heat exchanger projects and the requirements to fulfill those projects.
    • Determine key variables for cost and other judgments required in a proposal.
    • Gather firsthand information from sites, vendors, clients, and other venues.
    • Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.
    • Obtain and review quotes from vendors and/or subcontractors for accuracy and scope.
    • Perform risk analysis for projects and communicate those risks to final decision-makers.
    • Create and submit bids to sales and development for final sales strategy.
    • Build relationships with clients and vendors for enhanced support.
    • Provide schedules, manpower needs, materials, tooling, and other details required to complete a project.
    • Set priorities and transition between tasks frequently without downtime.
    • Communicate across departments for cost information, engineering details, and other technical requirements of a project.
    • Perform walk-downs to better understand the scope of work and translate that to an estimate that is accurate.
    • Communicate awarded jobs and details necessary to turnover to Operations.

    Education and Experience
    Extensive experience in manufacturing, retubing, and refurbishing of various heat exchangers.

    Language Skills
    Ability to read, analyze and interpret general process work instructions, standard operating procedures, blueprints, and governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and vendors.

    Mathematical Skills
    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

    Reasoning Skills
    Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a keen eye for technical details. Work is performed accurately and in a fast manner. Requires strong skills in working through complex problems, visualizing, and developing solutions, project management disciples, and priority setting.

    Other Skills and Experience
    Knowledge of retubing various heat exchangers on- and off-site with a sense of the variables that are required to bid the projects and perform the work profitably.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and Project. Well organized and able to multi-task, handling multiple bids at a time.

    • Favorable background investigation. Results must indicate the candidate’s acceptability for being granted access to power generating and other facilities.

    Ability to work in a physically demanding work environment occasionally lifting or carrying 75 pounds and ability to work with all types of tools is required.
